Accreditation
Accreditation is a procedure, by which the national accreditation body confirms the competency of the legal entity or corresponding conformity assessment body (CAB) to conduct certain types of works (testing, calibration, certification, and inspection).
Accreditation grants for:
Provision of common technical policy in the sphere of conformity assessment;
Provision of consumer’s trust towards activities of conformity assessment bodies;
Creation of conditions for mutual recognition of the results of the conformity assessment bodies on the international level;
Removal of technical barriers for business.
The accreditation is carried out by NAAU according to the Law of Ukraine "On accreditation of conformity assessment bodies" taking into account the requirements of international and European standards for accreditation.
Accreditation, according to the identified scope, is carried out in conformance to the requirements of the following normative documents:
